Yesterday evening was my first ride-along call. I’ve had a couple of responses to-date, but for various reasons I was unable to ride along to the site. Last night for the first time I got to see how the EMS team responds and how they interact with the paramedics who arrived from Monroe Ambulance and who eventually provided transport.
Not much for me to do but watch and carry a clipboard, help with the gurney on the ice, but still – I was there and it was a quick but valuable learning experience. A good beginning, I hope!
