  • Cardiology

    From the local library, found McGraw Hill’s Cardiology (2018). The book is way more depth than I need or even understand, but it’s good to have the exposure to terms like ischemia and arrhythmia in context. Also great to help understand blood flow from the heart to lungs, to system, and to the heart itself…

  • CPR license

    CPR/BLS license earned with in-person training at the fire department. I’ve done this class several times in the past as a teacher, but it is exciting to note this first step down the path of my EMT journey.

  • Probationary EMT

    Accepted as a probationary member at the local fire department, with plans to train as an EMT upon full acceptance. This marks a significant step forward in training as well as a great opportunity for volunteering.
